I THINK IT IS TIME THAT OSTOMATES FROM ALL OVER INDIAN SHUD COME FORWARD AND SHARE THEIR VIEWS AND PROBLEMS.
THEIR ARE MANY OSTOMATES IN INDIA WHO ARE LIVING IN RURAL AS WELL AS IN URBAN AREAS AND ARE SHY/AFRAID TO COME FORWARD AND SHARE THEIR PROBLEMS WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH OTHER PEOPLE AROUND THEM.
THE MAJOR HINDRANCE IS THAT THE SOCIETY WE LIVE IN IS STILL BACKWARD AND SUPERSTITIOUS. THE GOVT. HAS NOT TAKEN APPROPRIATE STEPS AND HAVE NOT PROVIDED THE INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIRED TO ESTABLISH A STRONG ASSOCIATION.
IM 34 YEARS OLD, HAVING A PERMANENT COLOSTOMY. I AM LIVING A HEALTHY AND NORMAL LIFE.
WHEN I FIRST WENT TO THE OFFICE OF OSTOMY ASSOCIATION (DELHI.AIIMS) I WAS SHOCKED BY THE NEGATIVE ATTITUDE OF THE CLERK SERVING THEIR. HE WAS VERY VERY LETHARGIC AND WAS LEAST BOTHERED/CONCERNED FOR WHY I WAS THEIR. HIS WAY OF WORKING WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. WHO RECRUITED HIM GOD KNOWS?????? NO PROPER RECORD IS MENTAINED AND THERE IS NO FACILITY FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION/PROCESS/QUERRY ETC.

Dear sir, the clerk at the delhi AIIMS is not an ostomy patient.
